Holiday Loan - as low as 10.49% APR*!
From October 1 through December 31, 2014 get a $1,200 loan at a rate as low as 10.49% APR* to cover this year's holiday expenses. Term of 12 months to repay the loan. Member can have one (1) Holiday Loan on the books. Any outstanding loan must be paid off or combined with the new loan amount, not to exceed $1,200.

Card Alert Notification
Your Visa debit or ATM card is monitored for suspicious activity 24/7. If potentially fraud transactions are taking place, you'll be contacted immediately so that future fraudulent transactions can be avoided. Your car transactions are monitored for purchases outside your normal purchasing patterns, unusual timeframes and geographical locations, or purchase patterns that are consistent with previously identified fraud trends.
Getting hold of you quickly is critical to stopping any potential card fraud. With our Card Alert Notification service, you will receive a text message allowing you to confirm if a suspicious transaction was authorized by you. The text message will arrive with a 5 digit code (33748) and contain our financial institution name, the amount of transaction, and merchant name. You can reply "Yes" to authorize the transaction or "No" to deny the transaction. Please read more about Card Alert Notification to understand how this feature works.

Credit Report Disputes
If you notice any inaccuracies on your credit report and want to correct it, you can contact Equifax and dispute it. You can save time and start an investigation with their Online Dispute website. Any other questions you have about your credit report can also be answered at Equifax's website.

You're entitled to a free annual Credit Report. It's a great idea to check your Credit Report yearly - it can help you find discrepancies and helps to prevent fraud. To get your free copy from Equifax, click here. If you find an inaccuracy with one credit reporting agency, you may want to get your credit file from the other two agencies to see if their files contain the same error. You can contact Experian at 1-888-397-3742 or go to www.experian.com or TransUnion at 1-800-888-4213 or visit www.transunion.com.

Watch Out for Charity Scams
In the wake of any tragedy, many people want to help in some way. Scam artists can take advantage of our natural inclination to lend a hand. Remember, before you give to any charity, be sure the charity is legitimate, there is a clear plan for use of funds, and that the charity will provide the support it claims it will. The State Attorney General's office has put together tips to help you give wisely to charities in the aftermath of a tragedy.

FROM "VISA" - The following email has been reported by Visa cardholders from other institutions! It seems to come from Visa Support and has the subject line Your Card Has Been Suspended. If you receive this email, do not click on the link, and report it to Touchstone. The body of the email will be similar to this:

Note: If not done by 03-02-2013 we will have to suspend it for life to avoid any illegal purchasing made by other frauders. We appreciate your help in this case.
AND FROM "INTUIT TURBO TAX" - Please be advised that we have been made aware of a phishing campaign currently underway that is using emails that appear to be related to TurboTax. The email does not contain a link; however, the email has a .zip attachment that contains malware. Do not open the attached .zip file.
If you receive emails that appear to be from TurboTax stating that “Your State Return Has Been Rejected,” please be aware that these are not from Touchstone, any other financial institution, or TurboTax. Please do not open the attachment and do not forward the email. Delete the email.
Recommended steps for those who may receive the phishing email:
NEW WALMART EMAIL HOAX - 5/16/13 The Wal-Mart stores and headquarters began receiving large amounts of phone calls from customers regarding an email that had allegedly received from Walmart.com regarding fraud orders using their credit cards. After speaking with several customers, they were able to determine that the emails are from an email address "@walmart.com" and are hoax emails. If you receive one of these emails, DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS inside this email. as it will inevitably lead you to a fake Wal-Mart website that will either ask you for personal information, or somehow infect your computer.
If you need assistance, please call Wal-Mart, 1-800-Walmart. Also beware of Other Phishing Scams involving Visa and Turbo Tax.

Protect Yourself from Fraud
Exercising caution with email from companies, organizations, and institutions, even those in whom you trust, is a good way to prevent fraud. There have been fraudulent email messages which appear to come from trusted institutions, text messaging scams, and phone scams. TEXT MESSAGING SCAM ALERT* The following message is a SCAM: "Your credit union debit card has a pending alert. Call now, toll-free 1-940-XXX-XXXX, and follow the instructions to resolve this alert." Recent Credit Card Breach Could Increase Phishing. Following the Global Payments data breach, credit card holders should be aware of a potential increase in phishing attacks. These attacks could also target others who were not impacted by the recent card breach. Be aware of any suspicious emails, text messages, or phone calls requesting personal or financial information.
